Executive Management Junior Teams

Janak Patel
I joined the club as a parent of two boys during the 2014-15 season. The core values and ethics applied with emphasis on enjoying the game were evident on the first day. I soon joined the fun as a volunteer parent by helping with various club activities on and off the field, through its growth from 6 junior members to over 20 members plus an adult team. My journey with the club has been extremely rewarding and I am looking forward to serving the club over the coming years.
Arvinder Dhillon

I was introduced to VCC by Mr. Jones in 2017 for my son to play cricket. I have played cricket with multiple clubs in the GTA for the past several years. I have coached cricket as a coach with BCL, Challengers Cricket Club and as a volunteer coach at Newton’s Grove Private School. Coach Emmanuel’s technique has been calm and collected from day one which has helped many players to grow from junior to senior level. I am also delighted to work with VCC this year as a volunteer coach. For the past few years some of our U14 players have played theOntario Region Championship tournament. Also, there are five hundred and thirty U14/U16 players in TDCA this year and it is amazing to see some of our players in the top five. I am excited and delighted to be part of VCC family and look forward to the future years.

Executive Management Open Team

Vikas Puri

After taking a hiatus of approximately 18 years, I decided to join Vaughan Cricket Club in 2019 to yet again try out my cricketing skills. Although I knew it wont be easy being a parent of two young children, I wanted to give it a shot.

From the very first day I was invited out for practice, it felt I knew the group forever and there was an immediate connect. The entire team was extremely welcoming and friendly. The first couple of years were a bit of a rocky start for me due to injuries in the beginning of the season, but I continued to work hard with the support I got from my team members and the club management. It’s now been 3 years and I can confidentially say this was the one of the best decisions of my life to join VCC as I feel I have made friends and relations for life. I was recently added to the club management group. The overarching atmosphere of the club is extremely friendly and with immense focus on developing young talent. I look forward to continuing to assist the club and taking VCC to new heights.

I joined the club in 2018 as a parent of two daughters . I had injury that year but from next year onwards I joined the club to lead the team of of like minded cricket enthusiasts. Its been 3 years and i have enjoyed every moment of the experience. They are been a lot of ups and some downs but the camaraderie and relationship developed in the experience is worth cherishing . The club has a very healthy atmosphere and always works to develop existing talents and welcomes new ones with open arms.
I am keen and looking forward to make this club a success.
Shobhit Bansal
I had the opportunity to play cricket with multiple clubs across Toronto before joining the Vaughan club in 2018 as vice-captain of the Open Team. The journey since then has been tremendous. Vaughan cricket club has allowed me to live my passion and improve my cricketing & leadership skills. Mr. Emanuel is always around to mentor with his immense cricketing experience. My teammates over the last three years have become very close friends and have never felt the need to play for any other club. Looking forward to contributing to Vaughan cricket club In future.

After a hiatus of around 20 years from cricket, I joined VCC to try my hand at the game again couple seasons ago. It’s been an awesome experience with an amazing group of people, where the focus is on fun  while aiming to compete the best possible level.  Over time the acquaintances on-field have turned into friendships off-field and I look forward to many more seasons of camaraderie and contests with the team.
